Joyful Birth. Joyful Life. Classes for Birth and Beyond

WeeHuman VIRTUAL COURSES: 
Hours of on-demand lessons, and live sessions hosted on zoom in Childbirth, Newborn Care and Safety, and Breastfeeding. Includes weekly meditation sessions, monthly virtual support groups.  Included free with all birth doula packages or sign up at www.weehuman.com

BIRTH PREP RETREAT: an outdoor, in-person birth class held in Libertyville, IL with the backdrop of the Forest Preserve! We will cover advanced comfort measures: positions and techniques for a more comfortable and efficient birth. Partners will learn how to best give labor support, and you will have an opportunity to practice the tips you learn.  Potential dates Spring/Summer 2023

​VIRTUAL BIRTH CLASSES: can be taken a la carte or as a series
   
   What is Labor Like? Learn the signs that labor is getting close, what to expect through the stages of labor, how to tell labor progress, what to do when your water breaks, when to head to your birth location, and some of the best ways to work with your labor so you can have a comfortable and safe birth!
        How to Have a More Comfortable Birth: Learn about the hormones of birth, the emotional signposts and physical sensations of labor, and strategies for making every stage of labor more comfortable and enjoyable. A fantastic class for partners to learn how to be a great birth partner! 
      Birth Choices: Interventions and Informed Consent: Learn more about common medical choices in labor, such as the epidural and Pitocin, and how to ask the best questions to find out the benefits, risks, and alternatives to all potential choices in labor.
     Newborns, Breastfeeding, and Postpartum: Expectations, Reality, and Preparation: Learn what to expect during the 4th trimester, from delayed cord clamping and newborn shots, to how to create a solid milk supply and keep breastfeeding from hurting, to what to expect with your postpartum body and mood.
